Effective March 1, 2025, it is required that water providers experiencing water outages, projected to last longer than 24 hours and affecting at least fifty (50) service connections or a vulnerable population (such as schools, hospitals, assisted living/nursing facilities, correctional facilities, etc), provide a detailed reporting form in regards to the water service interruption to the West Virginia Department of Health, within 6 Hours of the outage start, as per WV Code §16-1-9a.
